Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy - for adults only - to support neuroplasticity and symptom reduction.
KAP as a Therapeutic Tool
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is gaining recognition as a promising treatment option for treatment-resistant issues like depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, and chronic pain conditions. Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, is used at sub-anesthetic doses to induce an altered state of consciousness, which can facilitate psychological flexibility and reduce defenses. This altered state, paired with psychotherapy, has been shown to promote new synaptic connections, leading to fresh understandings of self and the world. KAP aims for sustained symptom improvement, enhanced emotional insight, and overall improved quality of life.
What to expect during KAP
My holistic approach to KAP includes preparation before, presence during, and integration after the ketamine experience so that you are supported throughout and empowered to derive the maximum benefit. Eligibility is determined in conjunction with a psychiatrist and medical team, while sessions are facilitated by me in a trauma-informed, client-centered manner that considers your treatment goals. If you would like to learn more or explore the possibility of receiving KAP with me, please contact me to set up a consultation. Thank you.
